Hope you get it sorted, your intention was valid, get training, get visa. For that amount of money seems reasonable to expect atleast 1 session per week for 6 months. Yeah there are gyms that offer less, but it's not always so easy to tell the difference.

I belive a comment above about reporting to Thai tourism is for sure a route. I do hope it's just a language barrier, as I have had communication issues, but after using google translate in different ways, got things cleared up.

super smooth, just handed over my passport with the Visa printout, a press there and whatever it is they do behind the desk, done in literally 1 minute.

the dealership got the insurance sorted out for me. I'll take a look for you. Yes I have basic motorcycle endorsement on my UK licence, which was enough for here.

since November, was an easy 2yr transfer type licence from UK. You will also need a separate residence certificate for this for the DLT. So be sure to get 2, 1 for buying the bike, the other to get a licence. Each certificate expires after 30days from issue date.

Bought a bike November, got insurance no issues, I did need to produce a residence certificate, which is easy enough from immigration.

I applied down the savings route, joined PDFs together and added a note saying I keep my funds separate to my current account. Worked.

Worth reaching out to the UK Thai embassy 1st, I only say that as I applied from Spain, even though I am UK citizen.
