I went to AA brokers in Pattaya near Big C.

Many languages spoken and very helpful...they have plenty of patience explaining 😊

If you are looking for an apartment to rent, do yourself a favour and make sure you get a landlord who is happy to be TM30 compliant.

, My GP wouldn’t find time but supplied a copy of my medical records, I went to a private hospital, took 10 mins and cost £100.However many GPs are more obliging I’m told.

My experience when applying in the UK was Police Cert took just 7 days, Visa application posted on a Wednesday, passport back with visa Saturday AM. No need to lose much time. Thai Embassy very efficient if all paperwork in order. Mine was through the help of this group. 👍

So you go through this online process then take a day off work and pay £40 for a day return ticket to London to have the ‘eVisa’ put into your passport....progress?

I just returned from a week hotel stay in Kong Chiam, my diligent Thai lady landlord took my passport etc to Jomtien immigration office to do TM30. She was told no need unless I left the country. She enquired why some people were being fined, she was told that many foreigners do not do TM30 on arrival in Thailand and are then fined when doing 90 day reporting or applying for visa extensions.

Seems different day, different experience.
