Applying for a Non immigrant O visa on the uk thai embassy website and one of the requirements is to provide evidence of a minimum of £10,000 in your uk bank account. Is this a new requirement as this is contradicted in other thai evisa feeds. Interested to know if anybody has had a similar recent experience.

60 tourist eVisa granted via UK Thai Embassy (online). 5 days in total, requested additional info for inbound flights. Minor inconvenience.

Issued overnight...All good. Worth noting that my application went back to the bottom of the pile after they requested extra info, took three days extra from that date.

I uploaded a copy of passport bio for travel history and driving licence as proof of UK residency.

I want to stay in Thailand for longer than 60 days (as a tourist), so I believe that my only current choice is the STV.

I have contacted the UK Thai Embassy, but they don't provide many details about what I have to provide during the visa application process.

Can someone provide me with the precise information, or direct me to a thread?

Thanks in advance

Help, submitting info on hotel I've booked after going through uk thai embassy page, when I'm asked for Accommodation Address the postcode isn't there. My hotel is 10540 and it stops at 10530 on E Visa page. What do I do? Thanks!

Non O-A (Long stay) Visa question. (hope okay to post this)

I am having an issue with applying for the Non O-A visa (retirement type visa) from the UK and wondered if anyone else has experience of doing this.

I gave 12 months of bank statements which show that my monthly income is over £1,625 per month, however, without giving a reason the Thai embassy wants me to show a bank statement with £20,000 on it.

Below is the exact text from the Thai embassy website about the requirements.

"Non-Immigrant Type O- A (Long Stay) 1 Year/Multiple entries"

"Financial evidence showing monthly income of not less than 65,000 THB (approx. £1,625)

or having the current balance of 800,000 THB (approx. £20,000), e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings, for at least 1 month"

Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm in UK. Have started new online O-A Visa application for London embassy. Advice please. 3 months bank statements is 17 pages. File too big to upload. Could I just scan page 1 of each month which has "amount paid in" on it? I have emailed the embassy too. Cheers
