So if I took copies of statements from HMRC website showing my income, tax due, tax paid to the British Embassy they would not issue necessary letter to satisfy Thai immigration?

Maybe I read it wrong, I thought it meant for patients/tourists who wished to use the private hospitals for lengthy treatment plans. What do you understand that sector to be ?

I am interested because although I would qualify for a retirement visa, I have been warned it could jeopardise my UK based private medical insurance.

I would add that the condo is within 600mtrs of the Immigration office in Jomtien. It's not hugely inconvenient to have to go there if it avoids future problems, would it mean going to register every trip?
