I'll admit there are some weird foreigners here. Some think they're actually Thai. Some newbies telling others what is really going on. Grumpy old people who were picked on in their own country. Etc. But some people have genuine problems. Sometimes it's out of our control to avoid these problems too.
Mark Zuckerberg might get this to occasionally visit Thailand. Wait.. He'd probably get in on a 30 transit visa, do online work anyway, and leave. 😂
If you want to be fluent you need to study and put your time in. A few hours a week at a language school won't do much. The technology to upload data in our brains doesn't exist yet. I look at language schools as an accessory.
Did your language school help you speak Thai like a local? I doubt it. Its more like this: "Here are the phrases you'll need when ordering food at a restaurant...." 😂
Most long term expats who seriously want to learn Thai study on YouTube, ask a gf/bf, ask a few questions while drinking beers, etc. If you want a visa, do what you need to do. Many people on here who criticize for not going to a proper language school have only lived in Thailand for 1-3 years and haven't been burned yet. Beware of the newbies.
