I am in Thailand on visa exemption that I already extended a week ago.

I have to leave Thailand mid June.

I already got a 60 day tourist visa last year, and another one in march.

I came in by bus from Laos 2 times this year.

Once on visa exempt in January, then tourist visa in march.

Is it correct that now I have to enter Thailand by plane?

And another tourist visa will probably not be approved since this would be the third one in 9 months?

I am planning on starting Thai Language school in 3 months.

Hi I wonder if anyone can give solid advice please. I have only just submitted my application for samui language school. I did it at the end of my non visa extension day 58 , I'm now back in the UK and miss Samui so much. Do I have to be in the UK to apply for Ed visa, or can I do it from Samui once the school has prepared my paperwork about 4 weeks. Thank you for any advice 🙏

Hi. Happy new year! 🥳 I have a visa question for a friend. He is an Iranian with ED visa and currently studying at a private language school in Thailand. He also just got accepted into a master degree program in Thailand for environmental studies. For this new program, he will get a new education visa to study two years master program. He is from Iran. Can he change his current language related ED visa to a new ED visa for the master program while he is still in Thailand or does he need to leave Thailand and come with the new ED visa? I read somewhere that unlike tourists visa, ED visa cannot be changed to a new visa and the person need to leave the country to get new visa. Appreciate any information.

ED Visa Question: I was thinking of getting a Muay Thai ED Visa for my first year and try Thailand for about a year to be sure that I want to retire in Thailand.

Do most of the Muay Thai Schools offer ED Visa, would I have to leave the country and then apply for the ED Visa once I find a good school and can the ED visa be more than one year?

I've heard that people stay in Thailand on ED visa for years by switching to different types of Schools. Like from Language School to Muay Thai to Yoga etc. Is that possible?

If I was to apply for the ED visa, can my wife get a dependent visa if she doesn’t want to take language classes?

Visa choice help -Retirement or ED Visa?

I return to Thailand in a couple of months and plan to enroll in language school, either Pattaya or Hua Hin.

I could go the ED Visa route, but not sure that is my best option.

I have a USA passport and I’m retired.

I only plan to stay in Thailand for 8 months on my next trip coming up, but when I return to the US it may be a year before returning to Thailand.

I’m not sure how to begin for the retirement visa choice.

I’ve had the Bangkok Bank account about a year, already moving money there.

Despite the meant reasons my language school visa experience was a bit shady, I find myself feeling tempted again.

I was told I could only do one Ed visa once. The school is telling me there is a program where they can do a 15 month program for someone who has already done 12 months.

Any knowledge of this?

Firstly, Merry Christmas to all of you!

One question and sorry if I repeated it as well.

I am holding an ED visa from Language school that will expire on 12-Jan-2023. I already talked to my school and they also submitted documents to the Ministry of Education which are still in progress. My school said that MOE will inform in January. But not sure when will be.

If I leave the Country in one week advance (before 12-Jan) go to Laos for some personal matters and then come back to Thailand after 12th January with a visa on arrival. Then, convert to an ED visa again.

Is it still ok? or any advice?

Can I switch from language Ed visa to Muay Thai school Ed visa?

Currently on Thai language school ED Visa probably expiring on 22/23 January 2023.

Looking to stay in Thailand longer due to Thai gf.

Just looking through my options:

1. Muay Thai visa (if it is even possible)

2. University ED (Heard from current language school classmate that it's possible)

3. Exit Thai and do visa exempt + extension (45 + 30) and then repeat

4. Opening a biz with Thai friend and employing myself to get work permit

5. Elite visa (last resort)

Current thoughts

Option 1: not sure if it's even possible

Option 2: gotta check back again with my classmate

Option 3....I know it's not advisable to to live in Thailand under tourist visa exempt and extensions for a prolonged period of time due to old records of student visa + extensions and I might get denied entry after a few times

Option 4: might be even more costly than elite visa and worse.. if biz not doing well then I'll be losing money recurringly

Option 5: literally pay to win lol

Would love to hear some opinions
