Sorry for asking, but why don’t you just apply for a Non O visa before you go to Thailand?
It’s as simple as anything, just fill out the form electronically, upload your passport ID-page, take a photo and apply. You’ll probably have it in some days.
If you’re passed 50 years and have funds, have you considered to simply just apply for a Non O visa and extension of stay only based on this requirement?
If you’re applying based on the soft power options as muay Thai boxing you’ll need to get approved by a gym that can provide you the required documentation first.
The only extension available is the one year extension of stay, unless you’re married to a Thai or have a Thai child and can apply for the 60 days extension visiting Thai family.
You’ll need to leave and re-enter on a new 60 days visa exemption if you don’t want to apply for an extension.
But we anyway know that some border points demands one or two night out of Thailand before you can re-enter on a new visa exemption. We also know people are offered to bounce instantly by paying a fee. (Up to 10K baht).
There’s no official regulation regarding this and it’s obvious that they just make up their own rules.
Do you have a work permit in Thailand? If so they will approve your income.
It’s known that at some immigrations it can be difficult to be allowed to prove income pension/income from abroad unless your embassy in Bangkok also provides you a affidavit letter. So you either need to prove income earned in Thailand or provide a affidavit letter to avoid banking the 400K baht.
