TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquirer is seeking a visa option for visiting their Thai girlfriend and daughter for more than 2 months. They are not married to the girlfriend but have a daughter together. Commenters suggest that the 90-day Non-O visa might be a possibility, although it may depend on the recognition of parental rights associated with the birth certificate. Alternatively, they mention a 60-day visa exempt with a potential 30-day extension, or a 6-month Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) if more time is needed.

60 day visa exempt + 30 day extension would be the easiest. If more time needed then 6 mo METV

Unless you were married when the child was born and have your name on the birth certificate, you don't have any legal parental rights. You would need to go through family court in Thailand in order to be recognized as the father.

You MIGHT be able to get the 90-day non-O visa for visiting a Thai family member based on your daughter. It depends on if the embassy will only recognize the birth certificate even if you're not recognized as the father.

But without parental rights and custody, you won't be able to get an extension inside of Thailand based on having a daughter. So you'll be limited to 90-days from the visa (if you can get it) before you have to leave.

I used my Uk driving licence on my None O visa application. I have a Thai daughter, but I have gone down the retirement route as I am over 50. I have used the monthly income over 65,000 as proof of funds. They wanted 3 months of bank statements for that.

could apply at the end of the 90 day non-o for visit Thai family/child 60 days.

BUT cannot get it if they enter as a tourist now.

Read above, he will not be recognised as the father as they were not married at the time of birth

doesn't matter in Thailand, you need to go through the courts if the child is under 7 I believe

our daughter was born in UK and I am on the birth certificate. But if I remember correctly I had to sign document on Thai embassy that if we not live together I will not fight for her as she is Thai child. And what about the UK driving licence used as proof of address in UK, instead of Bill. Or can rent payment be used as well. Thanks

You don’t need to prove your adresse, just upload a document that indicates current location and it could be your drivers licence, utility bill, bank statement with name and address etc.
