Hello all. I’m I correct to understand that I can go from Canada (origin) to Thailand for 90 days with an extended tourist visa… then go to, let’s say the Philippines for a week. Can I then go back to Thailand for another 60days plus 30 days extended?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of returning to Thailand for 60 days after spending 90 days with an extended tourist visa, then traveling to the Philippines for a week. Responses suggest that while it is possible to return, entry may be scrutinized by immigration officials due to the short time between visits. Recommendations include obtaining a multiple entry tourist visa to facilitate longer stays without frequent re-entries. There's also mention of potential changes in entry duration regulations, with some suggesting a shift from a 60-day visa to a 30-day visa exemption.

I have gone for 25+ winters,6 months at a time.i did the visa free last year,I won't do that again ..just get the multiple entry tourist visa ,you can get 9 months from it and it's a done deal with no need to scramble when/if the change the 60 days to 30 .
It won't cut the criminals down but it will for sure cut a few million tourists out .
thanks! I live in Thailand part of the year, too. What I meant to say was that the government is still only talking about going back to 30 days visa exempt.
Up to the IO you’re standing in front of as Phil said, but you could easily cover your stay without any risk with a six months multiple entries turist visa applied for online through the Thai embassy that serves your area before you leave.
There is no rule that says you cannot do that, but do know that there are MANY reports of people getting pulled out of line at the airport and grilled for an hour about why they are back so soon after just spending 90 days in Thailand. After 90 days they are looking at you suspiciously as that's not the normal behavior of a tourist. You probably won't be denied entry for your 2nd entry, but they might warn you that it's your last time entering without a long-term visa.
no your incorrect. You will enter 60-days without a visa and extend with 30 days. Hopefully this will happen 2 times but its up to the IO to permit you entry.
