TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around personal experiences and concerns regarding the 60-day tourist visa stamp in Thailand, particularly issues with entry refusals at immigration. Various users share anecdotes of being turned away due to prior overstays, visa misuse, or the need for proper documentation like return tickets and hotel addresses. Others emphasize that decisions are at the discretion of the immigration officer, highlighting the unpredictability and variability of visa acceptance based on individual circumstances.
Hire an agent for safe entry. Can do unless you have egregious past violations. I have recommendation if u need

I have the same problem before...
I do 2 "free" visa exemption of 60 days in a short time.
I never had overstay,
I never across the border land, ever with airplane.
But police have to looking in the computer how many days you stay in your country before come back in thailand.
You have to show 1 hotel address and the ticket for going out thailand.
it's not a free visa. It's entering without/exempt of any visa. And they could always ask for address, proof of funds, and evidence of leaving the country.
that's irrelevant. It's been part of the entry process for years. It's on the info pages.

Me on April 1, they wouldnāt give me a Visa. Iāve just come from Laos . Iāve been there for four days. Been going there for 20 years have a house there I reported toļæ¼ immigration within 24 hours of arriving in the November told them I plan to stay till May 7. No one at any time at Pattaya immigration said that will be a problem Mr. I even had to rent my own house to myself For five months to satisfy their paperwork requirements they were happy with everything and they stapled the piece of paper in the back of your passport that shows that you had attended immigration within 24 hours When I told all this to Bangkok they said different division Mr. We Bangkok not Pattaya as they wavedļæ¼ their hand dismissively at me and not one of them at any timeļæ¼ explained what Iāve done wrong or what I should have done or didnāt do just the usual shit attitude of people in authority & I have not ļæ¼had overstays either Muppets.
the visa exempt process or any tourist visa does not give you any right to live in Thailand for 20 years. I think you are the muppet in this case šš
what does going to immigration to file your TM30 have to do with how long you can stay in Thailand? At the time of filing, no one cares if you say you are staying 6 months or 6 years. That's not the purpose of the TM30. It's just to inform that a foreigner is staying at a certain address within 24 hours of arrival. It has nothing to do with permitted length of stay.
filled out my date entry and filled in. Iāll be leaving the 7th of May and the letter from myself to myself saying that I could rent my own house to myself for five months from the date of the 21st November to the 7th ļæ¼May, so why did they need to know dates if no one takes any fucking notice? anyway, we all know itās a load of bollocks they they change their minds ļæ¼every five seconds unless you got shit loads of money off courseļæ¼ then they roll out the red carpet.
when i asked how long i should stay in my country before i go back to thailand they gave me 3 different answers in 5 minutes. they dont even know what they are doing
I got no information from them at all just waving their hand telling me to fuck off if all the tourist didnāt bother going there, they would all be crying
Because the embassy does not decide if you can enter Thailand. Only the immigration officer you are standing in front of decides that.

Never had problems. The Officer check is passport guilty, if you are at Black list or had many overstays before. This time i had a bit problems cause my passport expire in 14 days. Talked to them , they gave me stamp for 14 days. I made a accident passport at embassy , did a visa run, got 60 days .

They can and will refuse you if you overstayed in the past or have done extensive border runs ... They make you buy a ticket back home.
Here of a lot getting turned around on a 60 day exempt and sent back at their own expense to the last port of boarding. Everything is Evisa so you wonāt be getting back in 5 days
a story of *long* stays on tourist visa exemptions, I'd say. If you've come to Thailand many times, but always say 5-15 days per time, and each time is not to close to the following, it shouldn't be a problem, while if you've stayed 60+30 back to back for 3-4 times, then that's different.
