TLDR : Answer Summary
Thailand is advocating for a Schengen-like visa for Southeast Asia to attract affluent travelers. However, comments reveal skepticism about the feasibility of such a visa, noting past proposals have stalled and the necessity for agreement among ASEAN nations. Some express that Thailand should first address local issues like safety and pollution before focusing on attracting wealthy visitors.

Thailand needs to take care of. It’s dangerous, roads and pollution and other stuff before it tries to attract rich people.

Yeah I doubt this will happen in our lifetime. All the ASEAN Nations have to agree on this.
