Quick question for those that have been to thailand/phuket recently.

Are they still giving the 60 day visa exemption? I heard they wanted to cut it back to 30 days.

Got my flight soon I'm wondering if I should buy flight for the 30 day limit just in case.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The current situation indicates that Thailand is still providing a 60-day visa exemption for tourists as of May 2025, despite some rumors about a potential reduction to 30 days. Comments from recent travelers confirm that the 60-day exemption is still in effect, and travelers can also apply for a local extension if needed.

Still 60 days and that’s all anyone knows. If it get turned back to 30 days at some point in the future you still can apply for a 30 days local extension.
