Hi, anyone had the experience in applying tourist visa extension from 60 days to 90- day stay? How many days in advance should I approach the immigration office before the 60 days expire to apply the extension? Thanks π

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend a Thai tourist visa from 60 days to 90 days, you can typically apply as close as one day before your current visa expires. However, it's generally recommended to approach the immigration office within 7 days before the expiration. Required documents include a TM30 form, a passport photo, and a copy of your passport. Be sure to check for any public holidays that might affect processing times.
The new expiration date of the tourist visa is counted from the day I apply for the extension? I'm planning to come to Thailand around 20th of September on tourist visa and leave Thailand on around 20th December. I would like to get some advice, in order to book my return flight
All Immigration Offices will do an extension in the last 7 days of a tourism entry stamp but a few including Jomtien and Samui will only do it in the last 7 days.

Can do even the day before. Normally takes a hour or 3 in the immi office. Will need some basic paperwork
