Yes. But they will not marry you if you do not have 400k in the bank yourself. They will also not marry you if you drive a smaller car than they have / than the BMW their parents gave to them as a birthday present. I have experience with this 😁

I know people who did a visa run to Myanmar last week. They did this close to Ranong. They went by boat from Thailand to Myanmar and back.

I know someone who did it dozens of times a year without problems. But each time he stayed only 1,2,3 days. I think it is more the total number of days you stay than the number of entries.

Rent out your home instead of selling it. That way you can always return.

I used return flights 5 months later to get a 3 month visa. You should ask the consulate where you apply for a visa about this. The Thai consulate in NL accepted it without problems.

the point is that Revolut is not cheaper than Wise. The OP simply has to accept that he will lose money. I am comparing costs already for years, and found out that you always pay. Even the solution to send money to a Thai bank account with Wise is not free because you pay fees for the transfer. Paying with a foreign card from Wise or Revolut directly is often cheaper. I have Revolut metal. You get 1% cashback what compensates for the rare currency exchange.

also if you convert before withdrawing you will pay that 1% fee. If you click on a transaction you can see the fees. And Revolut also has a 1% weekend fee. But when I compared exchange rates, Revolut often had a better rate than Wise. Not much, but a bit better.

Krungsri will give you a bank account with a tourist visa if you can show a 1 year rental contract.

Not for every country. Countries i have been to in the past had websites with clear and correct info. Only since I am in Thailand I see a government who makes a mess of it. The result you can see here every day on Facebook.
