No TM30 asked... I was at Bangkok Immigration today for a 1 month visum extension for my 1 month visum exempt. Nothing changed, passport, photo, TM6/7, 1900 baht, some copies and that was all they needed. I was ready in an hour. Line was also going fast. I thought a TM30 was required now?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user recently reported obtaining a 1-month visa extension at Bangkok Immigration without being asked for a TM30 form, which led to confusion about its necessity. Comments clarified that the TM30 is not required for short-term extensions like the 30-day visa exempt and 60-day tourist visas, but may be necessary for long-term visa extensions, particularly for Non-O visas. The conversation emphasizes varying local practices and updates regarding immigration requirements.
