A small question from someone (me) who might possibly retire in Thailand one day: For a small condo, how much will I pay for electricity per month (using a/c)? And how much for water?

Thx.

Edit: My question was rather vague, I know šŸ˜‚.

But I was just looking for a price RANGE - and I thank all of you for giving me that!!!šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™

Hello to everyone šŸ«”

I want to come to Thailand for a extended holidayā€¦ I sold my truck and its time for a holiday too šŸ™‚

Please help me with the knowledge about tourist visa requirements šŸ™šŸ»

How much money do I need to have/month for a good holiday?

Is the country safe?

Are theives there?

The police have power?

If make a mistake, they send you to jail or they judge you first?

Thanks for your answers!

Hello everyone. Coming back to Thailand for 4 to 6 months but on a bit of a budget so around 9 to 12k a month is best until my plans start to kick in. Will be back and forth from Hua Hin/ Cha Am to Pattaya/ Jomtien and looking for rental sites for monthlies studios. Any suggestions would be appreciated

What is the attitude of Thailand regarding farang retiring here to pass? Like, not the guys who go broke and want to do weird shit before hopping out hotel windows, but just like really old/sick people?

To the guys who are already living in Thailand.

I am trying to some up how much I should be budgeting on spending per month on livings costs more or less.So I will be renting a house probably around Chiang Mai area and my wife will be with me.It would be very helpful if people in a similar situation could tell me more or less how much do you find is a comfortable amount of money to be living on?Thatā€™s including rent and still being able to go out and do some touristy things? I will also be buying a car so including gas prices.I know Thailand is very affordable but I just wanted to get a rough idea as I have only been on holiday and probably was over spending.

I budget for Bt 100,000 P/M each time I go to Hua Hin, I usually come back having spent only Bt65,000 per month. I actually save money holidaying in Thailand, airfare is $440 for 3 months W.A. to Thailand then back again to Australia, I spend $200 per week on food alone in Aus, nothing like that in Thailand. For a 3-star hotel room in Aus $250/300 per night (in Thailand the same room is $500 per month). For some meals I cook myself and for some I buy, I only accept accommodation I can cook in. At a restaurant in Australia for a nice meal $50 plus and a cheap bottle of wine for 2 people $130 per meal for 2 (and that's cheap in Aus) Yes I save money going now to Thailand for 3 months at a time. The new 60-day tourist visa is good for me, it takes about one hour to get an extension at immigration, so 3 months is no problem. I will not have to apply for the previous 60+ day visa plus 30 day extension which can be complicated. Thailand has now improved. Still TIT.
