Hello. I’m looking for any information about where to start with relocating to Thailand from the US. My husband is a disabled Vet so he has guaranteed income. I would continue to work remote at my current job. Please give me all the tips and tricks. Looking for relocate in about 2.5 years. Not sure if this is important but we will be 38 & 40 when we head to Thailand.
Remote work salaries comparable to US management positions
Specific Inquiry: When people say Digital Nomad/ Remote work. What jobs pay to a comparable US Management Position. I am trying to see the market out there. Most companies, mine included have forced a back to office policy of 5 days a week. I'm curious, do you find remote work pays the equivalent salary or do you find it pays a little less , but you will take it because of the freedom. I'm curious about the market out there.
Hi, I am new here. So please pardon me if my questions are not so smart.
Can you please give me your top 4 of things I have to arrange or know before moving to Thailand. I won’t need work. I just want to live there. Together with my dog.
I am getting feedback that $2,800 USD per month is not enough money for a couple to retire in Chiang Mai Thailand. I'm 73 wife is 64. We're not party people. We have 2 dog and a couple of cats. We would like to rent a house in one of the moobans around Chiang Mai. Any thoughts?
I just received my DTV (Destination Thailand Visa) and am looking to rent a condo as soon as possible. My budget is roughly $1,000–$1,700 (approx. 35,000–60,000 THB) per month.
Does anyone have recommendations on the best way to proceed? Specifically:
* Do I need an agent?
* Is the rental market in Thailand prone to scams?
* Any advice on how to find a high-quality, hassle-free place for my budget?
My wife, daughter, and I are planning a trip to Thailand from mid-December 2026 through early January 2027. My family will focus on sightseeing—classic tourist spots, temples, beaches, markets, etc.—while I’ll stay on until the end of January to scout retirement locations.
This will be one of a couple of visits I’ll make over the next few years—I’m aiming to retire there in 2028 or 2029. We’d appreciate recommendations for:
Tourism highlights (family-friendly, must-see attractions during peak season)
Retirement spots that match these priorities:
• Affordable cost of living
• 2–3 bedroom house or villa near a beach, with a pool
• Walking or short-drive access to a marina for a 30–40 ft boat
I cant seem to turn up any results in the search bar and the youtubers are all over the place with answers.
Looking for a realistic budget for a couple to live in a city like Chiang Mai or equivalent, walking distance to shopping, love eating local when we've travelled and using wet markets for fresh produce.
Might either rent a scooter or just use Grab to get around.
Would like a 1 to 2 bedroom unit ideally with pool and gym.
