I don't think this is true. The course I (and many others) was approved with had like 25 hours of study. Nothing like 180-200. There was no required schedule or curriculum, and it was just whenever I wanted to go.

I did not submit these when I applied through the L.A. consulate. But you can also book this stuff refundable, download the reservation confirmations, and then cancel.

I would just sign up for a cooking class and apply via soft power.

In my experience, you don't have to wait in the line to get the forms. You can just go in, grab the forms, fill them out, and then get in line.

Anonymous participant 203 I definitely was not asked to provide any information about a criminal record. I do not think this is typically required for DTV.

I just did this through the LA consulate. If you are in Hawaii, you apply at the LA consulate. You need to apply for the main DTV holder first (your husband). Once his DTV gets issued, you and the kids apply as dependents. LA Consulate is very fast. You will get a decision within 3 business days, I predict.
