Hello everyone. Has anyone had experience with the Los Angeles consulate Evisa process? I’ve submitted my DTV application on September 27. They requested additional documents on September 30 which were submitted same day. There has been no update and my application has been stuck in “pending document check” since then. Calling and emailing hasn’t been productive in any response or status update. Has anyone else experienced the same with the Los Angeles consulate?

Has anyone applied via E-Visa from USA recently? My friend said they’re asking for IRS tax returns and that it takes months, but not sure if that’s the case. I’d apply through the Los Angeles consulate.

DTV obtained, Los Angeles consulate. Rejected first try. Received email after 4 grueling weeks that I had not typed my name exactly the same or had added or removed a space in typing my name, so different compared to my passport. Lost the $400, nonrefundable - that hurt! No response from Thai Evisa folks about details for my rejection. LA consulate responded by email just saying the money is nonrefundable and I would have to do a new application. Applied again, though I didn't know the exact mistake I made. Carefully typed my name...

Received based on Workation. I have a LLC, incorporated a few years already, and work is now done online. I sent incorporation paperwork, local city business license paperwork, and an affidavit (Googled examples of this after reading notes on this forum) attesting I am the owner, sole worker, all work done online, will have no Thai clients, etc. Sent current account statements. Driver license for proof of residency. Copy of passport. Current photo.

Everything same as first application. Paid again. Approved this time in approx 10 days.

Very confused about the e Visa

I am here in California USA

I went to the Los Angeles consulate website and looked up requirements for the non O-A e Visa

And it clearly states you need to have 100 thousand baht per month income and or 1.2 mil in the bank to qualify 🙃

Then I go on to a "official" E Visa website

And it states the old rolls of 65,000 in income and or 800,000 in the bank

Before I spend $2,000 for a year of health insurance how can I make sure I will qualify?

This week I applied for COE and the Los Angeles Consulate accepted my application.. Today they rejected it as I must reapply for the new program on November 1. I was hoping to get in before the change but no luck. Our flight is mid November…..praying for a fast turnaround.

Alert! Must use eVisa now

I thought I had my TR single entry visa application completed days ago. I used the “apply online” button on the consulate site – Los Angeles. I then received a stock notice that I must REAPPLY on [members only]/

So I must start all over and upload all the documents. The Support Documents page is confusing. I must attach a “declaration” (no description). What is that? What is the difference between a “travel booking confirmation” document and ASQ confirmation? I also need “proof of Accommodation in Thailand.” I assume that is housing after ASQ.

Passport, covid insurance and flight confirmation were the only straightforward of all the 10 required documents. It seemed to save only one uploaded page and my bank statement and flight confirmation are two separate pages. Also, it won’t accept PNG or word documents, only Jpeg, jpg or PDF.

What are the requirements for a “letter of invitation”? I will be staying with my daughter.

Has anyone successfully uploaded an eVisa? Thanks!!

So I'm very confused. Los Angeles Consulate shows no information on Covid restrictions. No info on quarantine. No information on Healthcare coverage. I only want a 60 Tourist Visa. No frills, no thrills. In and out for now. Come back in maybe April.

Only Passport

Photos

Airlines itinerary

Says closed mail in only

I must be missing something. Any help and info appreciated.

Hi Everyone,

As I get closer to sending in my O-A visa application to the Los Angeles Consulate, I am feeling more dotted i and crossed t anxiety, especially around proof of adequate income.

I have an income verification letter from CalPers, which administers my pension. It clearly spells out my monthly pension benefit, which far exceeds the required 65,000 baht minimum threshold. But it won't be notarized. Instead I'll go to a local UPS Store to have it notarized. The same holds true for an account balance letter for my Schwab bank account. So, in effect, I'm swearing that these documents are true and accurate, not the institutions themselves. Is that sufficient?

Thanks!

L.A. consulate update. I will be traveling back to California to get my O-A visa. Have confirmed with the consulate via emai the following:

1.) Bank documents do not need to be notarized (was an issue for me as my bank is in Hawaai with no local branch in CA)

2.) Health Certificate can be issued in Thailand (still) however, must have been in last 6 months.

3.) Background Check can be either federal, state OR (for me) by local county Sheriff

It takes about a week to get reply via email.

O-A (USA passport) via L.A.Consulate. I've searched in the history but did not see anything. I sent a clarification request to L.A. consulate (Ill post once answered in a seperate thread) via Email (visa@thaiconsulatela.org) per their website but no response in three days. Everything I've heard is there is a quick response but not on my end. I'm still in Bangkok and will head back to CA in October so just doing my due diligence at this point.

My question is, does anyone know if this is the correct email address or not?
