where are you applying first, from my knowledge UK embassy only requires 500k baht as current balance, so you can have any balance between 0-500k baht during the 3-6 months beforehand but your current balance has to be 500k (last balance on the bank statement)
hey I actually needed to submit 6 months worth of bank statements + deposit certificate I got from bank which states “500k is current balance” and my photo of my deposit book with 500k proof (this can be done with a Thai bank but not sure about for UK)
- I’m not sure if all these were needed but I do know Vietnam prefer 6 months bank statements + separate document showing evidence of 500k as current balance”
For Vietnam embassies you definitely need 6 months of bank statements but Vietnam only cares if 500k is your last current balance (I.e in theory it can be any range before that like 40-100k 6 months before) but last balance on your bank statements must show at least 500k baht equivalent
yes I think so and quicker, it’s just flights to Hanoi were inconvenient but Apperently it was confirmed by email even if you landed in HCMC you can still apply in Hanoi
embassies and immigration can ask to can see earnings of your company month by month? didn’t the new tax law come out since January last year I thought? When you go to extend you will have to prove earnings month by month again….immigration can directly calculate how much tax you owe etc……with soft power it would be more complicated for immigration to make such calculation and there would be more loopholes available for you imo. Well……. it’s It may or may not have any effect on tax liability but it definitely dosent ‘help’ if you are someone who wants to try avoid paying tax
Some embassies are tied with agents to get in that $$$....so they make it as hard as possible for 'normal applications' to apply at their embassies. Also applying workcation catergory seems pointless imo, not only does it potentially put you at higher risk of being potentially fined/caught out if you 'forget' to pay your tax...........but its much more likely to be rejected by embassies. Just go for soft power and accept you will have to take a short trip out of thailand every six months ( about 5k baht but nice to have a break anyway)
