What are the requirements for applying for the DTV visa in Vietnam, specifically regarding the 500k baht bank balance and necessary employer documents?

Has anyone applied for the DTV visa in Vietnam? I am planning to travel there soon to do it and wanted to know if they require the 500k baht to be held for a minimum period of time. Also, since I work remotely, what documents should I request from my employer?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Users have shared their experiences applying for the DTV visa in Vietnam, noting that there is no minimum time requirement for holding the 500,000 baht in the bank. Successful applicants have confirmed that submitting proof of the required bank balance is crucial, but it can be a recent transaction as opposed to having funds held for an extended period. If you're working remotely, it's advised to gather necessary documents from your employer, although specific documents were not detailed in the comments.

I went from 300k to 500k baht on the last day, just one last transaction line showing 500k baht

My application was approved by HCMC

was this done when in person walk in appointments were still available or through the new online Evisa system?

so to clarify you did not submit three months of bank statements , only one month of bank statement, which was not an entire bank statement but just had the 500k deposited on the last day and it was approved with no request for further information?

hey I actually needed to submit 6 months worth of bank statements + deposit certificate I got from bank which states ā€œ500k is current balanceā€ and my photo of my deposit book with 500k proof (this can be done with a Thai bank but not sure about for UK)

- Iā€™m not sure if all these were needed but I do know Vietnam prefer 6 months bank statements + separate document showing evidence of 500k as current balanceā€

For Vietnam embassies you definitely need 6 months of bank statements but Vietnam only cares if 500k is your last current balance (I.e in theory it can be any range before that like 40-100k 6 months before) but last balance on your bank statements must show at least 500k baht equivalent

this is very interesting how different peoples experiences are because some are saying that Vietnam requires the most paperwork out of all of the countries you can apply in
