you can do that if you apply for the OA visa in your country but keep in mind the insurance requirements if you want the type O inside Thailand you must get the type O for your trailing wife at a nearby Thai embassy we are looking for the Thai embassy close by to accomplish this if I find I will post here.

Good luck finding a nearby Thai embassy to get the trailing spouse the type O to follow your visa we are looking for this too vietine loas embassy no longer offer this type visa if you find out any news we would appreciate your help.

Ah so the first year you can exit and reenter without a reentry permit but after the expiration date of the visa before you exit the country to get another year you then need a reentry permit.
