Completely correct that children do not get penalized for overstay when under 15 years old

Leave your daughter without a visa until you next plan to leave Thailand. There is no penalty for the child. Then when you return, apply for a new visa if you wish to. If you do wish to do a border run, it is highly unlikely you can not go out and in on the same day if the adults all have valid visas and it is just your daughter without. Thai officials have a very different attitude to minors.

Did it recently-same routine. 10 dollars for Myanmar etc. they do have signs up saying you need proof of on going travel etc but everyone still passing through. But more expensive than it used to be. If you speak Thai, 800 ish. Agents at the pier quoting 2-2.5 k. Alternatively there are agents in Hua Hin running these ‘trips’. I was told 5k all in by a friend that went in last couple of months
