Has anyone been to Ranong for a re-entry in visa exempt recently? I haven’t done this for over 12 years and sending my son with a friend. Is it better to stay for a night (😫) or ok to bounce back? Do you still need a 10$ bill etc?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses recent experiences with visa runs to Ranong for visa-exempt travelers. It highlights that staying overnight may not be necessary, and that border bouncing has been done successfully by some in recent months. However, there are concerns about costs, and past practices such as staying on the islands for visa runs are noted.
Staying the night won't make a difference. I'm not even sure if it's possible given the current situation. But there have been people who have done the border bounce and posted about it over the last couple months.
