Have anybody extended the DTV visa? How was the experience?

Do they ask lot of documents and pick on you for no reason?

If you have a valid tourist visa they will reject your DTV. Just cost me thousands of dollars for flights.

EDIT: I used the full 60 days on my multi-entry visa already hence assuming it wouldn’t be valid. Also assumed my flights would be useless if I have to return to the USA to apply.

EDIT 2: thanks for the suggestions about applying in Vietnam. Seems a bit dubious for that to be considered a “residence” though. I guess if it works it works though.

I would like to know whether my DTV (valid till 2029) is still valid even if I changed to non-B visa.

The reason is I am thinking of quitting from the job and they will cancel my non-B visa immediately after I resigned.

At that time, can I re enter Thailand with DTV?

Hi, if I enter Thailand with a non O 90 day visa and already have 800k in a Thai bank, can I apply for a retirement extension right away? And is insurance required?
