 i messaged them regarding a briefing that Thai visa have got hold of from the Swiss Embassy in Bangkok. Other than the briefing, they couldn't or maybe wouldn't say anymore.

I would be concerned regarding whats coming worldwide in September regarding Thai Embassys and visas. My contact says something is changing but as yet, they cannot say what.

What visa options are available for living in Thailand after previously holding a 1-year Non-O visa?

You can use Hull consulate without using online E visa for a single entry Non O visa BUT approval still needs to be got via London and it isn't a same day service for non tourist type visas.
