Unless they do a bus there and back for about 300 baht, I doubt it.

Someone was sent away from the DLT here last week trying to renew his licence on a WP. Told to get a residence certificate. I know the yellow housebook is useless here for anything. I've seen reports from other areas that was accepting them now refusing them if they are over a year old.
Ron *******
Sorry if I've caused confusion. Tod is correct regarding Bangkok and you getting your licence.
Ron *******
I don't know about a WP for licences in your area. They just simply want foreigners in Chonburi to have residency certificates. I think they all make it up as they go along to be honest
Ron *******
Not accepting them for registration of vehicles. Same as this yellow book. Chonburi and Pattaya won't accept them anymore.
Ron *******
That's fine I guess in Bangkok. Just beware if buying a vehicle some offices are not accepting them.
Ron *******
Yes. You can get one from immigration. Only those not doing 90 day reports can't.
Ron *******
Remember if your not doing 90 day reports in Bangkok, you will need to get the proof of residency from your embassy.

If they ban Tommy Bahama clothing and Reef flip flops I'm finished there.

I don't even know anybody that owns a pair of shoes here.
Ron *******
Just as well they don't apply this in Jomtien. Half of those working there would be banned.
