- Well with a DTV you are allowed to do “digital” work that is outside of Thailand, and don’t need a work permit, so one could assume that other visas would offer you the same. So if you are on a spouse visa, working online, from home, you could be ok. That being said, there was an issue others referenced when someone got in trouble for online activity (but that might have been a decade ago).
It seems like you need paystubs or a tax return or something more formal than money in a wise account. Also, as mentioned on your last post, 2 days ago, others who have applied as freelancers, have had to submit letters from those who have used their services. So, it seems like you would need to have a student or two write a letter for you. (which sounds strange).
- you can probably check with the airline, but this is what I found: Passenger (Passenger age above eighteen (18) years ) must present Thai National Identification Card, Thai Driving License, Thai Governor Identification Card, Passport, Disabled Person ID Card, The Official Certificate for Monks and Novices, Thai Seaman Book
: I have read the post. The MFA is going to question what has changed for you to go from a work permit/visa to digital nomad. Did you have a job in Thailand that you no longer have, etc.? They might want to see something. In regard to proof of employment, you need a letter from your employer. If you are contractor, others have been required to submit letters from their clients. In your case, I assume that would be letters from your students. Depending on where you apply, you might need to show tax invoices.
- The visa is a digital nomad visa, not a freelance visa. It allows people who work outside of Thailand to be physically present in Thailand. Any work in Thailand (freelance, full time, volunteer) requires a work permit and a visa that supports working.
