Heads up for those applying:

I applied for the DTV on March 4th, and received a rejection today stating "*Mismatched date of birth on application (12 March 2025)*". I was told I have to reapply and pay again, and this time when I was filling out the application form, I noticed that when I uploaded my passport into the application, it automatically changed some of the information I already input manually.

It changed my birth date and the passport expiration date. So I'm assuming that this is what happened the first time. So, learn from my mistake and triple check your information before moving on to the next page, even if you think you already confirmed.

Nothing new in that.

There are different date formats in different parts of the world, and you have to make sure you use the Thai way.

The data un the machinereadable field at the bottom of the picturepage is the essential data.

Most embassies warn that errors in the passport data section will result in rejection and loss of the visa fee, since the Embassy has used time to evaluate the application.

Always tripple check. This Visa application is a very tricky thing. You can do 1000 mistakes if not plan and recheck everything with military precision.

Yeah it changed a date from my passport from 2032 to 1932.

I'd guess this is very common. Must review and check everything

A very clear quality uploaded photo would help. Regardless, you are warned of this possibility and advised to proofread the automatically propagated data upon uploading the passport data page.

Did the status ever change online out of pending document check ? 8 days seems a long time for them to tell you incorrect info. What embassy?

You can not use those status levels to predict anything about how long the application is in the visa proces, they can change both ways.
