Yes, the plan must begin 10 months at least before the delivery. I work for Allianz and we apply the same practice.

I think this is fair enough for the insured and the insurance company.

Hi
@RRizzo *******
If you are not yet pregnant, you can buy a local Thai health insurance covering your delivery, including prenatal cares and complications during the pregnancy and delivery.

In the end, It will be like you buy a delivery package from a high quality hospital but with free yearly health insurance.

You still can purchase a plan from us but more documents are required depending on your DTV type (workation, soft power.,. etc).

Please let me in DM if you really want to secure a plan before the copayment rule is applied at the end of the month.

Local health insurance companies accept you only when you apply for at least 12 months.

Yet, most of them don’t accept people with DTV since they are more likely to stay less than 12 months in Thailand.

I’m an insurance agent at Allianz Thailand and it’s now harder for me to help people with DTV visa to get a local health insurance compared to the past.

No problem for adults but not much local health insurance will accept children’s applications when they are less than 6 years old.

Let me know if you don’t find anything you like.

I’m an agent with Allianz Thailand and I have helped many DTV visa holders to get a local health insurance. We have a wide range of options that may suit your needs and preferences.

If you want a local health insurance accepting DTV visa holders, please let me know.

I’m an insurance agent with Allianz Thailand and do help many expats with DTV to get their local health insurance.

You can take a plan with deductible option so the premium will be globally lower.

Do let me know if you need a quote for deductible option . I’m an agent with Allianz Thailand.
