ORIGINAL POSTERfriends living in thailand on a DTV what kind of health insurence do you have? ive been in thailand for half a year now and so far ive been going on travel insurence but i want to move to a cheaper local health insurence. any suggestions ?

ORIGINAL POSTERI moved to Nakon Ratchasima last year and kept my US health insurance (62 yo male in good health). However, the insurance is $750 USD a month. Is it advisable to cancel that insurance, get local insurance, and just get travel insurance for my twice yearly trips to the US to see the grandkids? I plan to just do 10 day trips to the US. Thank you.
