The highest out of pocket cost, after accommodation, appears to be health insurance.

For an initial 90 day non-o, converted into a 1 year retirement stay year by year, what are the requirements for insurance?

I have seen numbers near $usd400 per month!

(For a 65+ retiree)

Thank you

interested in getting some emergency medical insurance, but have been told by major company here they don't cover DTV holders........ I'd like an affordable, reasonably inexpensive policy covering motorbike injuries, stoke, heart attack, emergency evacuation to USA (where I have comprehensive coverage) for follow on care, surgery, etc. If anyone here has experience and success with this type coverage ,I'd be grateful to learn how to get it. 62 yr old male, relatively good health, on no meds, no issues. Thank you in advance

I have a retirement Visa that expires in April 2026. The quotes that I’ve had from the UK Internet search using the likes of compare the market for long-term health insurance are over £1800 (72k baht) for a single trip annual policy.

I will be coming out in late October for approximately six months and wondered if there were any local insurance companies who might be cheaper.

I am 68 and have no long-term health issues and would appreciate if anyone has any contacts so I could message/email them to get some local quotes.

Hello,

Does anyone have experience with a health insurance that also covers pre-existing illnesses? Most insurance companies do not cover pre-existing illnesses and will refer to pre-existing illnesses in case of claims, even if the claim has nothing to do with it. Furthermore, international health insurance is quite expensive.

I am married and have an O visa.

Thanks in advance for additional information.

I'm looking for recommendations on health insurance company. I'm moving to Thailand in 3 months and will stay in Thailand most of the year.

For those of you who live in Thailand most of the year, what company offers the best package and premiums?

I'm not looking just for the lowest premium. I'm also looking for a company that has a good reputation for honoring their policy when problems do happen.

Since I will be going back to Canada most summers to visit family, I would also need a company that offers international coverage (i.e. Thailand, Canada, and other Asian and European countries that I might travel to).

Do any of you have a similar situation in terms of health insurance requirements?

Thanks for your help and suggestions.
