Australian Thai embassy website doesn't mention anything of the sort either. It basically states the same requirements as the above screenshot (which is from the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

Sure thing. I had just assumed it would be uniform rules regarding the money, albeit the lesser amounts. Thanks again 👍

I just got my yearly extension based on marriage. The day after it was granted I moved 100k (from my 400k) out of bank to my wife's account for our use. So it means this is ok? I mean, as long as we have 400k back in there 2-3 months before next application?

I've also never had an issue until now. However, I was back in Australia all last year and with these different times and the fickle Thai government you never know.

Yes i also desperately need to know. Also have lived in Thailand 20 years, have my wife and 6-month old son there now! They need me, I need them. I came back to Australia for my father's funeral, but got locked out on March 26th. Stuck in Sydney for how long is anyone's guess. Extremely stressful

Yeah whatever. Don't like to encourage what is technically illegal. But I'm surely not going to be fear-mongering it, as you are. Mostly what you say is rubbish anyhow.

She said a 30 day extension, Adam, which of course would be available to her after lodging an application at any Thai Immigration office (can be lodged anytime up to 30 days before expiry date). Secondly, overstaying a few days, whilst technically illegal, is quite common and perfectly acceptable assuming you're comfortable paying the fee when leaving the kingdom.
