. I think it's a new initiative so if you do overstay they can wave a signed declaration under your nose, in case you plead ignorance. I knew nothing about it until the IO asked me to read it and sign it. All the order parts (name etc) she'd already completed. It was no big deal. Most people are aware that overstay is the worst crime any foreigner can commit in Thailand! 🤣
Dan Mulleary. When you return in October you'll be stamped in for 12 months, so your extension will not be required until October 2022. Just make sure you adjust your insurance to also expire October 2022. That way you don't have to have any concerns about extending.
