What visa type should I choose for my stay in Thailand: single-entry or multi-entry non-O?

I have an exemption to leave Australia and have an appointment at the end of the week to see the consulate and obtain a non-o family visa.

So here's my query- what is the best option for me visa wise wanting to leave at the end of this month and staying until roughly sept-oct?

A single entry non-o or multi entry non-o?

Is it hard to extend my visa while I'm in Thailand? Do I need to leave the country after 2 months like the old requirements of the multi entry?

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on the best visa option for a trip to Thailand starting at the end of the month, aiming to stay until September-October. They have an appointment for a non-O family visa and are considering whether to opt for a single-entry or multi-entry non-O visa. The user is also inquiring about the difficulty of extending their visa while in Thailand and whether they need to leave the country after two months, referencing previous requirements. Community responses suggest single-entry visas are currently more feasible, especially given border restrictions, and advise on the potential for extensions while in Thailand.

I used an agent, they applied for me to the Australian border force with documents pretty much showing I have a wife daughter and house in Thailand and I am desperate to see them after 15 months apart, took me 2 weeks to get after 2 failed attempt s initially so timeframe would vary. Persistence is the key and just keep applying until you get it.

would not be necessary as I can obtain non-o family visa quite easily before I go

There is only single TR60, no multiple since border runs are not possible. You can arrive with TR60 and then extend for 30 and either hope for a COVID extension being available or convert to a Non O if you have a Thai spouse or child or are 50 and over or an Education visa
