Hey all! I wanna thank everyone in this group for sharing all your information. With everything gathered here, plus some work experience with Thai authorities, I helped my BF apply for his visa and the process went very smoothly. I hope the way I arranged the docs can help y’all navigate your applications too! If you have any questions, I’m happy to help.

I am a preply Business English teacher. I provided profile, lesson schedules, lesson example, payments history and preply insights, listing earnings to double check bank statements.
I gave 6 months bank statements listing preply payments in the notes.Only the last 2 months were over 500 k.
I used ISSA Compass, who although were a little slow responding to whatsapp messages, were professional and efficient...(most of the time).
Many thanks to all contributors in this group which were extremely helpful.
I am happy to answer any questions anyone may have.
I am French at the beginning of October I will finally have the 15,000 euros in my bank account for 3 months, I see that Paris would take almost 1 month to process my request for Dtv visa…
according to you it is better to wait or I could take a trip to Indonesia to Jakarta to apply there. I meet all the conditions but I see that some are refused even though they respect all the conditions and it is a little scary.
Hello, everyone. I’ve been thoroughly researching this whole situation, and I still don’t know what’s the best option for me or where I should go to get everything taken care of.
My 60 days will be up in two weeks.
I’m traveling with my dog, and I know I’ll need to go to the vet and get a health certificate to leave the country again, which is already a headache.
I’m worried about not receiving her health certificate on time, and I obviously don’t want to get kicked out of the country. I was given incorrect information, and I wasn’t aware of the timeline.
These are my questions:
1. What happens if her health certificate arrives three weeks late and I’m here for more than 60 days? Will I get kicked out?
2. I have money in the bank, but I don’t want to pay any unnecessary money for this visa process. I’m considering going to Vietnam to apply for the visa and come back. Is this a good place to apply for the visa?
3. If Vietnam is a good place to apply for the visa, what kind of visa should I apply for?
4. How many times will I have to do these visa runs a year?
5. What documents should I bring to apply for my visa? Will I only need a printout of my bank statements, my passport, a printed photo of myself?
As an online teacher working with a platform, could you please clarify what specific documents or evidence I need to provide to demonstrate my employment status for the Digital Nomad Visa application? Would a certificate or statement from the platform confirming my work and income be sufficient?
Hi all, a quick question about 90 day Non - Immi O visa based on being over 50. When applying for the above visa from your home country, what documents are required? Is insurance and banked money a requirement? If banked money is required does it need to be in a Thai bank account or can it be in my Australian account? Does it need to be seasoned? Thanks to all for any advice and information offered.
thanks everyone for all the great comments.I was approved today !!! this is my application story, if it helps anyone.
1) applied monday 24th february digital nomad / remote worker
2) provided resent photo ( from my iPhone white back ground, certificate of employment signed by my manager ( that my company employs). i just got one of these certificates of the web and changed it to suit my needs. i also mentioned that my company does not have any business related activities in thailand and i stated i was aware that i am not permitted to do business with Thai nationals. i provided a link to my website too
3) bank statement from my business account for 6 months showing over the required amount ( this was not in my person name)
4) photo of inside passport
5) a resent master card statement showing my current address and resent transaction ( proof of being in Australia)
6) i stated i was travelling to thailand in march and gave a flight number ( no proof sent)
i applied to Sydney embassy and was approved today - no request for further information
my status changed to ‘pending approval ‘ 3 days ago ( i wasn’t advised but checked each day). i received approval today via email with a pdf ( yep don’t worry i know i need to print it)
I apologize if these questions have already been asked here.
I’m heading to Laos in 2 days to apply for the DTV Remote Worker visa, and I’ve been researching a lot since yesterday. I’d like to confirm a few points here if possible:
- Is it correct that the application is done online only?
- Whether applying from Laos or another neighboring country, are the required documents the same, or do they vary?
To summarize what I’ve understood about the required documents when applying from Laos, here’s what I have so far:
- Color photocopy of my passport
- Color photo (less than 6 months old)
- Employment contract
- Proof of salary for the last 6 months
- Employer certificate
Regarding the 500,000 THB financial evidence :
- Do they require bank statements for the last 3 months ?
- Can the amount be combined between a savings account and a current account (as long as they are both on the same account)?
About the "document indicating current location" :
- Would a color photo of my Laos entry stamp and, for example, an Agoda hotel receipt be sufficient?
Final question : Has anyone here recently applied from Laos and have any advice ? How long did it take for the process?
Thank you to this group for providing such valuable information!!!! To pay it forward, here's how my application went.
Applied in HCM on Wednesday 15/01 around 8PM for Muay Thai DTV
Had a quick look on Friday 17/01 and saw status moved to pending approval
Was getting a bit nervous today (business day #5) as I didn't want to be stuck here for Tet. Emailed the consulate this morning (no reply) and called them at 4:30PM (30 minutes before closing). The lady on the phone said my application would be approved today or tomorrow, I asked her if it please can be today and she said she'd speak to the consul.
40 minutes later (5:10PM) I got the approval email.

My background
November '21 - July '23 countless visa exempts, a few tourist visa's, extensions, border runs and (remember those?) 2 COVID extensions
July '24 - now ED visa + 1 ED extension (did not get a re-entry stamp when I left last week), visa I got through a language school
I genuinely train at the gym, have been since 2018, it's a relatively small, family-owned gym that only does DTV for people who will actually attend training (so unless you're willing to do so, don't ask which gym it is 😉)
Flying back tomorrow, will update this post to let you know how immigration went (Phuket).
UPDATE re entry: Entered through Phuket Intl Airport, the IO studied my ED visa and extension, told me I don't have to do fingerprints, only photo and didn't ask any questions, stamped me in for 180 days. Easy peasy ☺️
