Hi All, Im doing a border run to Singapore. I know from experience I dont have to go through SIN immigration at CHANGI in T4. Im returning on the same day a few hours later. Im unsure if Id have time to do this anyway...

Can you predict any issues considering I have an exit stamp from Thailand on the same day but no entry/exit from another country ie SIN?

Review on getting a Thai Tourist visa in Singapore.

The short version: very easy if all documents are ready and you have 2 weeks time to hang in Singapore.

The long version: I applied for the 60 day single entry tourist visa. To get the visa apply first online on their website

[members only]

Create an account, then you need to fill out the application form, add a photo of you and upload ALL of the following documents:

1. Flight to Thailand

2. Flight out of Thailand no later than 60 days

3. Accommodation booking for the entire duration of your stay (if you stay 60 days you need for all of that). I used Agoda, booked 3 different hotels spread over 60 days and chose the option "pay later & free cancellation" so I wasn't charged. No proof of payment was asked.

4. Bank Account showing at least 1000S$ over the past 90 days. Amount must be in S$ or US$. Other currency statements need to submit a letter from the bank stating the balance equivalent to Singapore or US Dollars.

I used Revolut and converted the amount 90 days in advance to S$. Wise works too.

5. Singapore Arrival Card (which you apply up to 48 hrs before entering SG)

6. Singapore Visit Pass (which you receive via email once you have arrived in SG).

That's it. Then you'll wait. They won't email you, you gotta check back daily on the website to see if your documents have been reviewed. It takes 3-4 days. Then you'll see a note with whether your documents are complete - and if yes you'll be given dates you can come to the consulate.

I uploaded my docs & application on a Thursday (30 June) and by the following Wednesday I was given 2 appointment options: Thursday (6 July) or the week after that on Tuesday (11 July). The consulate is closed on Fridays.

I opted for Tuesday as I saw it too late and didn't have enough time to print all on a short notice. My bad.

So I went on Tuesday 11 July at 9am in the morning. The Thai Embassy in Singapore is very centrally located on 370 Orchard Rd. Nearest MRT is Orchard station. However, the entrance for visa matter is in the back of the building at Claymore Rd.

I got a number from the lady at the entrance, waited 30 min, then was called to the counter desk, gave them the application form and all the docs, paid 50S$ and was told to pick up the passport 2 days later on Thursday 13 July at 2pm. They gave me a pink receipt and told me to bring this paper for the pick up. So don't lose it! Picked up the passport today at 2pm and was in and out within 10 minutes.

So in total it took 14 days from the day of submission til passport pick up. Could have been less if I went for the first appointment. Probably not the fastest consulate but pretty smooth and straightforward. I was spending 3 weeks in Singapore so I had plenty of time to do it. Now ready to head to Thailand next week 🇹🇭

Hope this helps.✌️

Question on transiting through Singapore to Thailand , what is the difference in vaccination proof you need for the Singapore flight versus the Thailand flight ? If any ? I read vaccination proof is required to even transit through Singapore , although I may be mistaken
