Oh, and again, to anyone entertaining the notion. It takes a while to go through the various stages. I think I was a month and a half. But could've been quicker if my banks weren't assholes. So, we're near last chance unless the government does the right thing and extends the amnesty.

Just in case anyone is following and interested. I can confirm that you can convert from amnesty to elite. Just did it a few weeks ago. Painful amount to let go off, yeah. But, oh man, have I slept like a baby ever since.

It was recent. Went for the 5 years entry level.

Nothing about health insurance.

It's a long term stay visa where you only have to do 90 day reporting. They might even help you with that detail, depending on where you stay. Some might say it's a bit expensive, though.

Mine is 5 years (plus a bit) for 500k baht.

I'd say spreading it around social media is far more effective. Thai authorities does sometimes seem sensible to that kind of thing.
