The post inquires about the list of Alternative State Quarantine (A.S.Q) package hotels in Thailand, which are used for self-quarantine for travelers entering the country. The discussion includes clarifications about A.S.Q, provides links to external resources with guidelines for re-entry procedures, and touches on public perceptions of quarantine hotels. Some comments reflect on the costs and the necessity of quarantine due to past health crises.

Well those price put me off a little 1000 pounds plus for 14 days in a room.
A Total misnomer - A Quarantine Hotel would be used to isolate SICK people. Who wants to be labeled as being sent to a Sick People Hotel.

In the first week of February 2010, the Thailand Department of Epidemiology announced the Second Wave of the H1N1 (Swine Flu) outbreak. From May 3rd. 2009 to 10 March 2010(about 9 months).
The accumulated number of confirmed H1N1 flu patients totaled 35,446, infected Thai persons in the 2nd wave.
The number of H1N1 deaths in only the 2nd Wave was 208 persons.
Does anyone who was in Thailand in 2009 - 2010 even remember this what was classed as a severe epidemic?
Remember the drastic control measures? Well - there weren't any.
Today's Covid-19 figures (since Jan 2020) - a little over 5 months of Covid epidemic only had a total of confirmed Covid-19 deaths to date as less than 60.
Extrapolating 57 Covid-19 Deaths to date out to 9 months even at the current number gives a total of an estimated 87 deaths (likely it would surely be less than 95 deaths due to an expected decline in the current Covid-19 Death Rate.
Thailand and the Thai people survived H1N1 without destroying the Thailand Economy.
