I get my multi entry and the same time as extending the 1 year. Correct they are not attached but u apply for both at the same time, firstly the extension and then then the single/multi entry.

Go to jomtien immigration. Need 1 passport photo. Copy of current visa and immigration card plus copy of passport page. Fill out application form. 1,900 baht. Done in 30 minutes
