Hi everyone, I’m planning to apply for the DTV visa in Vientiane, Laos and have a question about the bank statement requirement. My bank account (not a Thai account) currently has the equivalent of 500,000 THB but it only reached that amount around 45 days before my appointment date. Before November, my balance was about half of the required amount.

Has anyone been approved in a similar situation where the required balance was recent? Would love to hear your experiences or advice!! 🙏

I have 2 questions:

Do I have to show the bank statement for the visa extension every year? Or only with the first application?

Is living in the same household enough to apply as "spouse"? Or do we have to be married?

Thank you! 🙏

Good day, want to apply for the DTV from South Africa... what fees will be payable? Apart from the proof of 500k baht in bank account, please

And then, can all be done via e-visa website?

Hi,

The Taipei embassy's website lists the following requirements for a workcation visa:

* *An official employment contract (with an employer residing abroad and no income generated in Thailand),

OR*

* *An official employment certificate (with an employer registered abroad),

OR*

* *A professional portfolio demonstrating status as a digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent, or freelancer,

OR*

* *An invitation or acceptance letter to participate in the mentioned activities.*

I have a few questions for anyone who has applied through the Taipei embassy:

1. Is providing one of these documents sufficient for approval?

2. If applying with an official employment certificate, what details need to be included? Is a signature and company stamp enough?

3. For freelancers, can I create my portfolio independently? Are there any specific requirements regarding the number of jobs?

4. Were there any additional documents requested during the process?

Thanks in advance for all the help!

I got my DTV visa approved a couple days ago. Applied as remote worker/business owner.

I applied online with Thai embassy in Denmark. Fee 2500 DKK.

I applied thursday evening and friday by 11 am it was approved.

I showed bank statement of 500000 THB in my normal Euro account. Proof of current address, i showed copy of electricity bill with address and name on it.

For the last upload, as mentioned in other posts, you can only upload 1 document to show your remote worker status, business owner, freelance portfolio etc., so what I did was:

I made 1 PDF document explaining that I own my own business (I have single person LLC). I described briefly what I and my company do for a living and then highlighed, that as a self-employed, I am free to decide where I work from.

I included the business documents of the company showing that I am the owner and manager of the company. I also provided last 3 months invoices sent out with proof of payment as well.

Furthermore, I showed my tax statement from 2023 - all to prove I have steady income.

I did not include any client contracts, and also I did not provide any flight ticket or proof of accommodation in Thailand. I simply wrote the address where I will be staying, as I own a place in Thailand, but they didn't ask for proof, but I of course have the documents if needed.

Thanks to everyone in this group who have shared their experience with DTV visa. I will be happy to try and elaborate if anyone have any questions, but will be a bit busy next 2 days, so bear with me.

Hi, i am applying for METV E-visa from the UK.

I have applied for one before but looks like something has changed, has anyone applied for one in the last year as it looks different to what i need to upload since last year, i used to have to include my bank account details to show funds and tax statement (which i think i put for my document indicating current location), The supporting document pages i only get the following below and no other pages once i get to the submit page, little confused on this, any advise much appreciated.

Also the Intended Date of Departure, should this be within my first 60 days of arriving into Thailand?

Again any help and advice much appreciated

Hi. Looking for advice.

I am a pakistani citizen but recently moved to UAE and a resident now. Thailand visa has a 3-6 months bank statement requirement. But i have only 2 months Oct and Nov. But with a decent balance. And i want to travel by mid of Dec.

I have a good travel history. And been to thailand before multiple times as well - not sure if that will help. But what to know….

Is there any way i can still apply for the visa?

TIA.

Sorry guys, but I have two question that I'm not sure about.

Having money in the bank seasoning for the 60 days.

If one is trying to get a 1 yr exstension of a typo O marrige visa. This money was deposited July 29th and it will not season till Sept 26th.

Would I need to wait till the very last day of amnesty to apply? Or can I apply a few days before. My type O visa doesn't expire till Oct 18th.

Another question is, perhaps I can get a medical exception to stay. As my father is still in a hospital and will be on a medical emergency visa for up to a year. Would I be able to piggy back as a caregiver?

Thanks

I want to share the good experience we had in Ho Chi Minh city to get our education visa. I was worried because I have heard of so many people getting denied lately. We arrived 10 minutes before they stop accepting applications, which is 3pm. We turned in our paperwork & received it less than 24 hours later (2pm the next day)!! Amazing. The staff was very nice. The website does not say we needed to show a bank statement but our school recommended we provide one, which we did. They did not ask for proof of flight out of Thailand.
