TLDR : Answer Summary
The user successfully applied for a Non-O dependency visa for their Thai children in Mukdahan without marriage or custody documents, noting it was a simple process that did not require proof of funds. Required documents included passport photos, the children's birth certificate, and copies of relevant household registration and mother's identification. Comments clarified that this initial visa would only be a 90-day single entry, with an extension for a year requiring official documentation from the local amphur, and raised a question about the children's nationality if the mother is Thai.

Out of curiosity, isn’t the mother Thai, make the kids THAI? Were they born outside THAILAND?
Robert *******
if one of the parents is Thai, the children can apply for Thai Nationality.

Do you have to have wife’s passport as we lost it ?

Can apply for an Extension of Stay at any time? I doubt this as most Immigration offices only allow you to apply during the last 30 days of your stay.

interested to hear how the extension goes, are you able to post an update on here once you do it?

don’t think so. Think ID card is fine as some Thai mothers don’t have passports anyway. As I mentioned hers was expired 6 months but still accepted it.

It's the one year extension that you need the amphur papers for at the end of the 90 days

Thanx for the update;

Keep in mind that they ONLY issue a 90 day single entry Non-O for that reason.

They will not issue a year-long, multi-entry Non-O based on having half thai kids at either Vientiane or Savannakhet

I have been getting this non o, every five months from Savannakhet for few years now and have never been asked for a statement.

this is my first one from here, previously I got from phnom phen few years ago and I showed proof of income for 12 months.

I thought they were asking for a bank book showing at least 200,000 baht for the 90 day non-o based on having half Thai kids at Savanakhet and Vientiane?
