@Cia***
the people that issue the certificate.

When you go in to immigration and tell them you need a residence certificate they’ll direct you to the office/desk. When they say they’ll post it to you in a week I simply said is there an option to get it faster. They told me 1000 baht and one hour. I waited and paid her directly when she finished.

@Stu***
you can pay 1000 baht and get it in an hour. Or at least you could 2 years ago when I did it.

@Ka**
sure. Before you leave go to TMObile and have then give you and eSIM. It will be set as your primary. When you get to Thailand get the eSIM of your choice. They both will be active but you designate which is primary. That way you aren’t calling Thai numbers with your US sim. However, if someone calls or texts the US number while the Thai number is primary you still get the text or call. Switching back and forth is very easy with a click in your settings app. They can show you at either provider.

definitely do not disconnect. I have lived outside of the states since feb 2016 with the same TMobile number and plan and have never had an issue.

I can 2nd T-Mobile. I keep the eSIM from them and AIS in my phone always. When I go back to the states I don’t have to worry about it. When I get here same same. I just switch who is primary. Well worth it for me.

100% not true. For 6 years my visa extension money has been in a fixed account like he is asking about. Perhaps, like many other things, it’s individual office dependent but in Jomtien it’s 100% acceptable.

You can do it anytime before arrival or at kiosks when you land.

I have a “fixed account” that is my 800K and I never touch it. Once a year when I get my letters for immigration I take some of the earned interest out for my “same day transaction”.

Then I have a standard debit card account with the same bank. For me it’s just really easy this way.

When I go ask for 3 months statements for immigration it’s maybe

There are a lot of sad, pathetic, jaded alcohol fueled Neanderthals in most of these groups. Dismiss the BS and listen to the constructive feedback.
