that's great my friend and really up to each individual but I live in Phuket and seriously tourists are dying every week in scooter accidents. If going to farmland areas possibly do without. Regardless, enjoy the beautiful country!

Too much for rent and food but consider travel insurance as a must. Every other week some poor farang begging for go fund me donations after an accident. Sorry to sound insensitive but if one chooses to bypass insurance then don't ask friends and strangers to bail one out.
