Happy New Year folks.

I am moving from Pattaya to BKK.

I have never rented before as we own our condo here so this is new territory.

I know when I arrive I have to report my new address within 24 hours. I already have a place and will move in and get the lease on Monday. Am I correct that all I require from the owner is the lease in my name and a copy of their ID card? Or is more required from them?

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is moving from Pattaya to Bangkok and is unsure about the documentation required to report their new address. They have learned that they need the lease agreement in their name and a copy of the landlord's ID card. Additionally, comments indicate that they also need a TM30 application form along with passport copies.

@St***
thanks for the helpful reply. You are great.

However your reading skills are lacking. I clearly said “I own my Pattaya condo and HAVE NEVER RENTED.”

Clear now????

That's all I ever needed at CW. There is a TM30 application form and you will need passport and TM6 (and copies thereof, in passport case copy of data page and copy of most recent entry stamp/extension stamp).

Steve Barsalou. No worries. You can find the form in this useful list. In Bangkok you can also do the TM30 by mail. You send registered mail and enclose a registered self addressed envelope so the slip gets sent back to you. In the days when you had to do a new TM30 every time you went to the 7-11 (yeah I'm exaggerating, but you know what I mean), I'd use the mail in method. Saved traipsing to CW and sitting in a queue for three hours waiting for something that took five minutes to do. Just make sure the posting date is within the 24 hour period, and take photos of the post receipt, the envelope, the return envelope, and even the guy at the post office if you like. It would take anything between 2-3 weeks before I got my slip back, but it always worked
