Thank you for placing your trust in Bangkok Hospital.
Please be informed that the covid vaccine is not yet available in Bangkok Hospital, it is currently in process. Once available on hand, will update you accordingly.
Furthermore, the type of covid vaccine is AstraZeneca and Sinovac.
I don't believe that most countries will be giving vaccine away for free for foreign nationals. But does not really matter either way (as I do not expect Thailand to pay for it for me). All I would want to know is if and where I can get a shot in exchange for my money -- with the money part meaning possible much sooner than if I were to wait for governments (especially this one) to get their act together or following their allocation schemes.
Then you would seem to know people of the smarter / more experienced sort ;-) I have heard many voices along the lines of: I pay taxes here, I want the same treatment as Thais (who supposedly will be vaccinated free of charge).
Means not expecting the Thai government to pay - as some expats dream about. Could also mean, I am willing to pay whatever price I consider reasonable in exchange for not having to wait for some bureaucratic scheme as can be observed in other countries. Means I pay cash and get a (good) COVID vaccine. Normally Thailand is quick when a business opportunity arises - especially also when it comes to medical offerings. So I am a bit disappointed to not see offerings, yet.
It was so obviously going to happen. But many people fueled panic over nothing. I feel sorry for all those who went to immigration office "the last" day. Crazy.
Pretty much sums it up. In Udon Thani they also insisted of presenting a letter from ones embassy. After telling them, and they should long know this of course, that embassies don't issue such letters, they insisted of presenting an email from the embassy not issuing supporting letters - which the German Embassy happily provided (in it more or less directly stating that this is not the embassies business but the sole business of Thai Immigration and that they should do their job). Worked in the end. Always be prepared they come up with some additional senseless errand for you to run each time around.
Pretty sure, yes. Needed the TM.30 at all my extensions in different offices. You can obtain this in the very immigration office though - given the hotel has reported you there before - which they are required to do by law. Double check with your hotel that they did.
Varies, depending on the requirements of your immigration office. Unfortunately they have highly inconsistent requirements across the country. As a minimum, you will need your passport and a TM.30 receipt. Plus some forms filled out - which you get at the immigration office. Some offices might ask you for additional documents, like a letter / email from your embassy. Best to check with your particular office before.
Nobody knows for sure at this point. Although it is likely to be extended. If so, probably last minute on short notice, as it has been before. The rest of your question would seem to consist of a logical error, cause if it is NOT extended, no need to bring documents to immigration 😉
