the extension and re entry represent what the immigration officer advised me to do. I am not planning on being here more than 6 months of the year and will purchase a condo on my second trip. I am hopefully opening a Thai bank account this trip and hopefully getting the money into the account quickly. My non O is retirement visa. It sounds like I can do a re entry come back in under my visa and then do a one year extension if the money is in my account soon. I never thought it would end up this confusing 555 thank you so much for your input

I have, let's just say I keep enough in a specific bank that I get a really good exchange rate and they pay all fees on both ends.

I get the best rate using the ATM and my bank pays all my fees, so he might be good here.
