If you are over 50, you can apply for a retirement visa.

Seeing as you have said pre retirement visa, i take it you arent 50 years old yet?

Your options are a single entry or multiple entry tourist visa.

If married a non-o visa.

London embassy issues visa firstly online by checking your documents are correct and then you send everything including your passport by post.

The other embassies can be done in person.

Check each ones website for steps to be taken in order to get a visa.

Most importantly for the time being, non of the embassies have started issuing any visas as of yet.

So keep checking the websites and keep checking the news for updates.

At the moment there are alot of things up in the air about when foriegners can enter thailand.

Do not book any flights until the thai goverment has given an official date for when people can enter.

In the mean time check what documents are needed to get the correct visa for your travel, and be patient until further news is released.

I really think people should wait to book flights, its absolutely insane that you would book a flight.

Its understood people want to get back to be with their wives, kids etc....

But booking a flight now and for july is crazy, borders havent even opened yet, the government hasnt even given a certain date for when tourists, non o visa holders and the rest can enter.

If you have a work permit you can get back in now, and jump through hoops to do so.

Also when thailand does open back up to tourism, there are talks/plans of only letting certain countries in first, "who have covid19 under control".

Everyone wanting to come back needs to be patient and wait for an official statement , both verbal and written by the government.

You can also do it now if you want, its up to you.

Fck that sh*t, id be telling them to stick their extension where the sun doesnt shine. And then you have go report every 90 days and then do another extension in a years time, with the same paper work they already have from the last time, which they enter into a data base.

No wonder so many people use an agent to get it done.

The system is so outdated.

I wouldnt start to worry , wait until nearly the end of july and see what is going to happen with borders and entry into thailand.

Nobody knows what will happen as of yet.

Still 2 months to go.

Never heard of that before, just a criminal background check is needed.

You can do it online aswell.

Wait until more details are released, the only foreigners allowed back are people who are working here at the moment, but they still have to jump through alot of hoops to get back.

I would wait until the end of july and see what happens.

Nothing is for certain, we just have to wait and see.
