Can I use a rental contract as proof of address when renewing my British passport in Thailand?

Hello! I have some questions about renewing my British passport..

will a rental contract be ok for proof of address? and where can I get correct passport photos? I live in Nong khai.

I know I will have to attend an interview in bkk, so it maybe easier to get photos done there.

Work thru this website and it will tell you how to get a new passport thru the company contracted by the UK Consulate VFS Global

when you go to apply for your passport at VFS Global in the Trendy Building on Sukhumvit Soi 13 the entire ground floor is copy, translation shops, I know they do the pictures in one of them for sure.
