Hi, looking for advice here. I have a 60 day tourist visa from the UK Thai Embassy, I landed 6th of September. My Airline have since sent me a text and email to tell me my return flight has been cancelled and changed it to 2 days later than the original which was a stay of 60 days but now I will be 2 days over the 60 day visa limit. I have kept the original return flight ticket and have the email and ticket confirming the cancellation and new dates of the return flight will that be sufficient on exit or will I still get an overstay fine. I know it is only 500 baht per day but this was the Airline who cancelled my return flight that was within the time limit. TIA

Hello, what happens when you do not receive your 60 day tourist visa in time before departure for Thailand?

(I understand that I am able to enter on visa exempt and renew for an additional 30 days. I was planning on a stay of 86 days.)

Hello everyone, I’d like to have some advice about the following:

My tourist visa will finish on 28th Sept. I am having a flight booked on 29th Sept at 2:30am to fly out to Europe. Is it OK if I pass by the immigration at the airport before midnight (on 28th Sept) and take the flight at 2:30am (29th) and I won’t get a fine for overstay for one day?

Thank you in advance. 🙏🏻

I am currently in Thailand.

I will return home for Christmas.

I have a non o immigrant visa which will need to be extended by 7th March 24.

I have multiple re-entry permit.

I would like to come here back in January.

Can I enter Thailand on a one way ticket?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi, I have 2 questions for the moderators… first is, I’m from the uk and arrived in Phuket and got the visa exempt for 45 days.. I would like to extend and am now in bkk, where do I go for this extension?

And I will be flying out to Australia for a week and then heading back to Thailand, I do have a few stamps this year… is it better advised to go back in to Phuket rather than Bangkok as heard bkk is being a lot stricter with amount of Stamps in passport… and would I be better off to apply for tourist visa whilst in Sydney? Or voa when I land? Thanks 🙏🏼

Hi there,

I was a Long time in Thailand and did covidextensions. Then went 30days to Vietnam, back to Thailand for 40days and now again back in Vietnam. I want to go back again to Thailand if it’s possible. I am from Switzerland.

I can’t find any proper information on what rules apply for me. Am I allowed to go back to Thailand again or not? If not, is there a certain time I have to wait until I could go back? I wanna do it the right, legal way. I don’t wanna have a 7day stamp in my passport which says I can’t enter. Does anyone have reliable information in that case?

We will be applying for a 30-day visa extension to our 45-day visa exemptions received in mid-November at Bangkok international airport. We are Canadians and will apply in person at the Central Festival Immigration office in Chiang Mai. Question #1: For the very first time, we did NOT fill in a TM.6 arrival/departure card when arriving from Taipei on EVA Air. Is this going to be a problem when we apply for a visa extension? We have only the small date stamps for 45 visa exemption in our passports. Question #2: I have also heard that some tourists here are being asked for TM30 forms from their hotels. Any comment on that? Thanks.

My wife and I are planning a three month trip to Thailand, then onto Malaysia by train.

Would it be better to get a 90 day visa or 60 day then extend it?

We are hoping not to have to leave the country before we go to Malaysia.

Also would both options require proof of onward travel, in the form of a flight ticket?

Thanks in anticipation.

I am Australian and arriving Bangkok from Singapore on 0ct 1, a date I chose so I could get the new 45 day visa extension. Ticket is a one way Singapore airlines flight. Looking to book an onward flight out on day 44 of the extension. but I just called Singapore airlines and so far they are “unaware” of anything other than a 30 day extension. I have been prevented from boarding unless I bought an onward ticket by Singapore airlines before so I guess I’ll just have to take a chance that they will update their requirements by the day I fly, or just pay up for a ticket out of Thailand within 30 days, not 45.
