Asking for 2 healthy 80 year olds....is the retirement visa the best option? And regarding the application from their home country...do they need to show international health insurance? They will always have travel insurance. Back and forth every year. I know they dont need to show proof of health insurance if they apply from within Thailand.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around whether a retirement visa is suitable for two healthy 80-year-olds and the requirements for applying from their home country. It was noted that for the NON-O visa, there is no insurance requirement, whereas the NON-OA visa does require proof of international health insurance. The commenters suggest checking the specific requirements on the Thai embassy website in their home country.
